Although working, as usual, with oil colors, I have turned to transparent oil layers. The technique allows for a mysterious and interesting background, with the subject seeming to emerge from the atmosphere. It has been my honor to receive numerous awards and honors this past year, including first place at the Marin County Fair 2017 and first place in the "Best and Brightest" show in Scottsdale (2016).
